All visitors are welcome and should report to the main reception desk on entering the hospital and to the nurse station before entering patient's room. We ask that visitors leave the hospital by 8.00 pm unless staying overnight.

Visiting Hours in Wards

3:00 pm to 9:00 pm

Visiting Hours in ICU

12:00 pm to 1:00 pm - 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm

Regulations for patients and visitors

Arab Contractors Medical Center cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage sustained to property brought into the hospital. We therefore advise patients and visitors where possible to leave valuable items at home.

During your hospitalization, you may put your money, checks and visa cards in the safe deposit box in patient accounts office in the ground floor.

SMOKING

Arab Contractors Medical Center operates a "No Smoking" Policy throughout the building and premises. Even though we know this may be difficult for some patients and visitors your co-operation with this policy will be appreciated, as smoking in a healthcare environment puts both patients and staff at risk.

The Hospital Has the Responsibility to:

  • Provide you with high quality and appropriate care in a safe environment.
  • Inform you of your condition, problem or disease, results and meanings of tests and your treatment plan.
  • Obtain your informed consent before any treatment begins (except in emergencies), after providing you with the relevant information regarding the benefits, available alternative and the possible risks (if any) of the procedures or the treatment
  • Keep your personal dignity and privacy
  • Enable you to fully participate in decisions about your treatment, care, and discharge from hospital.
  • Ensure confidentiality about your care in hospital unless the law requires otherwise in specific circumstances.
  • Respond as promptly as possible to your concerns.
  • Permit you to seek a second opinion on diagnosis and treatment options, in agreement with your Consultant or GP.
  • Be provided with information, upon discharge, of your continuing health care requirements and how to meet them.

Your Responsibilities

Each patient and /or their representatives have a responsibility to:
  • Treat our stuff with the same respect and courtesy that you would expect yourself and cooperate with their directions
  • Provide accurate and complete information about your health and circumstances that may influence your treatment, recovery or stay in the hospital.
  • Follow the prescribed treatment plan or inform us if you choose not to, and feel free to ask questions if any information is not well understood.
  • Let staff know if your health changes while in our care.
  • Show consideration of other patients by limiting noise and number of visitors.
  • Obey hospital rules and behave in a responsible way; under no circumstances will verbal or physical violence be tolerated.
  • Avoid bringing personal valuables. The hospital is not responsible for their safety.
  • Observe the no smoking rule of the hospital.
