    Platinum Checkup

The platinum checkup is designed in concordance with the international criteria of medical care. It helps you to discover more about your health status and allows for early discovery and treatment of common -and sometimes serious- diseases so you would enjoy a better healthy life.

Instruction to conduct a successful platinum checkup:

    • Reservation should be at least one week before the checkup date.
    • You are advised to take your regular medications in the exact time with water only.
    • You should be fasting for 12 hours (except from water), from 9:00 pm in the night prior to the checkup day.
    • Before doing a fecal occult blood test (FOBT), avoid the following for 2 to 3 days before the test:

Beets, radishes, artichokes, mushrooms, broccoli, cauliflower, apples, oranges, bananas, grapes, and melon. These foods can cause the test to be positive for blood when blood is not in the stool. Red meat gives false results as well while small amounts of chicken, turkey, or fish will not affect the test.

Iron supplements, vitamin C, aspirin and pain killers or other medicines that irritate the stomach or intestines should be avoided too.

    • It is advised that you bring any recent investigations done and prescriptions of regular medications you are currently taking.
    • The final medical report of your premium checkup will be handed out 3 days later.
    • Your medical report will include results of your blood tests, radiographic work up along with recommendations of the consultants who examined you.
    • If you have special needs and special arrangements are required the checkup department should be informed to prepare for that.
